When the Cornish Xs were young two of them got attacked be another chicken. Both got a neck injury and one got a wing injury. They've since healed and are now 8 weeks old, but since it was injured the one with the wing and neck injury has kept it's neck pressed against his body with his head still facing forward and has an eye half closed, like an oval, unlike his other eye with the normal circle shape. Is the chicken safe to eat?

Sounds like a neurological injury and shouldn't affect the meat. I butchered a Cornish X that had a large red swelling at his rear end. I found that he had suffered a severe injury at some point and his entire abdominal wall had herniated. The red swelling was his intestines! His gizzard was attached to his keel bone. He had a large swirly scar on his abdomen the size of a saucer. This bird must have been hardy to have survived all if that. I put him in the freezer.
