24 weeks and still NO EGGS!!!!!!

i love my girls but I am anxiously waiting for them to start laying. Today I heard them do the egg song twice and ran outside and still nothing. They are eating fine... I have oyster shells out for them and been feeding them a scrambled eggs every couple days in case they are protein deficient. I live in Texas and while the daylight is getting less and less it still isn't that bad. I have put a fake egg in their nesting box too. Nothing! Does anyone have any suggestions?!?!?! Ahhh!!!

The lack of light may be effecting them. Chickens can be surprisingly effected by weather and light. If you have EE's, they are usually later to lay eggs. We waited two extra months for our EE to lay.
If they free-range, keep them in the run or pen for a week to see if they lay eggs in there--they may be laying outside. Check around your run for eggs.
And don't worry if you find no eggs anywhere. Some breeds or individual hens are just late to lay. :)
 
Thank you for your advice. They are free ranging during the day in my yard (I live in the city). I feel bad keeping them in their coop for days at a time but I will try that...

My chickens are a buff orp, buff brahma, blue Cochin, and golden laced Wyandotte.... I guess they are just late bloomers :(

Those are not the latest of the late layers, but neither are they early layers.
My buff orp laid under a bush for her first few weeks. That may be what's going on there. Check your yard.
If your chickens are ready to lay, they will have red combs and wider vents. If their combs are still pink, give them more time.
