New hens laying off the roost

My new point of lays are laying off the roost it started with one and now it is five of them. is there a way to change there habit to use the nesting boxes?

Can you block their access to the roosts during the day?
 
Many lay their first egg in unusual places, but to have 5 laying from the roosts IMO is unusual. There may be something about the roost vs nest location, height or configuration. If you could post pics of the coop showing roost and nests, you'll likely get more specific replies.

I use a piece of Lattice fencing for the roost, i had hens previous and no issues, would you suggest i go to just using 1x1 and having maybe 2-3 of them?????

Bet these think the lattice is a great nest?

I would suggest 2x4's allowing 8-12" per chicken roost space. however that can fit.
And make sure your roost is higher than the nests.
