Read up on here different methods of getting rid of lice, but didn't know what my local co-op carried. Gave them a call and they suggested some products (some of them are chicken owners), so I went down there and picked them up. I got Viper Insect Dust and Permectrin 2 to treat their bodies, heads and living quarters (have to dilute the Permectrin).
Both products are approved for use on poultry.
How should I apply dust to their bodies and the Permectrin to their heads? Should I get some kind of shaker to put the dust on? And maybe use cotton balls to put the Permectrin on their heads?' Will treat their heads first so all the lice don't take off in that direction. This is what I did with flea covered dogs when I was a groomer.
I have two Sultan mixes that have them the worst, of course.
Would appreciate any advice I can get.
