blood ring or blind

I'm hatching Guineas which take 26-28 days however at least three are rocking and it's only day 19. Temps have been spot on the entire incubation. I guess I should lock down???? Help never hatched Guineas before only chickens!

Just like chickens they will move around the egg as they near the end of incubation so that's what you will be seeing. I would still continue to turn as normal and lockdown day 22/23? I've never done Guineas either. Have you checked this out ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/incubating-and-hatching-guinea-fowl

Does anyone know what it means if an egg has little to no development and red ring , but is still changing every day and I can still visibly see one vein that i couldn't before???

I am very new to incubating eggs. One is fine and moving! The other seemed to have died about 3 days ago. I was candling when I noticed that the veins had disappeared (except a ring) and the fetus moved when the egg was turned. Usually that would mean death but I kept it just in case. The next day it seemed to have formed a triangle and is now more stable when the egg is turned. On the third day the fetus is definitely a different shape, I can now see one vein ,and the general shape of the rest of the process is showing up (such as air cell and darker on one side) but the general size of thefetus has stayed the same. ??? Is the chick dead or not? Any help?? Today is day 8 of incubation.

Some of the points you have made make a case for death but others make a case for it still being alive. Whilst you are unsure still I would leave it in there and not candle again until day 14. That way you should see any development more clearly.

Good luck with your eggs :fl
