You're welcome. The female has to be the Barred Rock and the male the RIR. Reversing it (male Barred Rock and female RIR) will not produce sex linked chicks.

So glad you joined us. I'm not a spring chicken by any means, have heard the name, but don't remember Heddy Lamor, but my DH says she was mentioned in Blazing Saddles.
 
Ha! Isn't it funny how many expressions we use originated with chickens. I'm not a spring chicken either. Don't like being cooped up, go to bed with the chickens, like to have a hen party occasionally, etc.
 
I do remember Hedy she was beautiful. When I saw your user name, I thought two things you were a fan of Hedy Lamarr AND your favorite hen is probably called Hedylaymore - what a great name!!
