What how much white makes a muscovy pied?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

I don't know a thing about ducks. You might want to post this in our Ducks section to chat with all those Duck experts...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks

Great to have you aboard and we do welcome you to our flock!

Technically a colored muscovy with any white on it (not including the head as white head is a separate gene) is considered "pied". Though some dark colored ducks will get more and more white as they age.

This one is NOT pied. Shes a black barred with a white head. White wing feathers are common and do not make them "pied"

This is a blue pied. Notice how white her chest is

These are both pied. Lilac on the left, chocolate on the right

This is a dark rippled "bibbed". She has a perfect bib, not pied. But the drake behind her is pied

Pied, even though she has black feathers mixed into the white. Also white headed

Not pied, black barred with white head gene and wing feathers
