My Sussex is standing still but her bottom is pulsating as if she is doing pelvic floor exercises. Her bum is a bit dirty. Could she be egg bound or constipated?

To assess whether a hen is egg-bound at home, gently feel on either side of her vent with one hand (think: squeezing the cheeks of a cute kid). If you feel an egg give her calcium and you can soak her in water to hydrate her vent or use some lubricant on her vent to help it pass
