Thanks

Im no expert, I have 4 little calls that are mixtures of grey and white, 2 drakes and 2 girls (one that looks and acts like a drake but lays eggs) and the drakes have bred with my pekin crosses. I am assuming any number of colour combinations can happen and Im really excited to find out! I adore calls and Im trying to learn more about the colours and breed deviations. I'll post up some pics of mine soon. For now heres my newbies,

Here they are on hatch day. The tiny one is pure call, I know the egg is from my smallest call female and the father must be one of her brothers. The larger yellow is a pekin mother and call father, and the dark one is my wild drake and his favourite female (I think) they are in my avatar

This is them taken the other day. They have changed so much already!

This is Leelu my white call, mother of the smallest duckling. I candled my eggs in the bator today and all 3 of hers look live. She is a special girl.

Ahh how sweet! Can't wait am about to go and collect them it is a 2 hour drive though. Ugh will post pics when they get here

Yes, in order to get chocolate you need 2 chocolate ducks or 2 chocolate carriers.
Your baby looks like it may be solid colored, but it may develop some white as bibbing (I believe) is dominant

Thanks, the other one is paler than this one and looks slightly lilac? What is going on here!

Hi guys sorry haven't been on this thread for a bit. The feathers are starting to come in now and on the patches above and below the wings on the one pictured above it is kinda mallard patterning but the tail is coming in choclate. Hellpp!! I have crazy ducks!
