No shell. I can squish em. They are as clear as a silicone bell. Headed to candle to try to find another dud.....yes we are soaking them in vinegar...the air cell looks super cool without that pesky shell

I got the numbers wrong this morning, it was hard to count the little stinks. I had 19 hatch from 20 that went into lock down. One made it through the night, but didn't make it this morning. Really weird thing..won't get into it here. Never had this happen before. Anyway.........Who wants chicks?!
My favorite little blue, with fuzzy feet.
This is my favorite LF..it is more silver than it shows. Looks girly, most silvers are male.

They are warm and fuzzy and soft and cute and their peeps are just the most wonderful sound and I can't help but ramble about how great baby chicks are!!! My chicks are starting to look so generic. Anyone have any idea what would be a good brand of chicken that will make a good life in 120° heat. Something other than RIR, Auracanas, leghorn, red star and barred rock? Suggestions please.
I kind of have a grab bag at the moment Roos: Blue Laced Barnevelder and Tolbunt Polish. Hens: OE, EE, Tolbunt Polish, Cuckoo Marans, White Rock, Speckled Sussex, and Welsummer. It's A Party Mix! LOL!
I want to work on an OE project, but haven't gotten any blue-egg layers, yet.
