EYE INFECTION - It's Not Always Mycoplasma - UPDATE w pics!

Here's the final-final..... better late than never!

Chikkin is back out with the flock. :)

Last week, she was in her crate being well cared for. She had been doing just fine... she was calm, collected, and cooperative.

All of a sudden, my sweet Chikkin wouldn't sit still, kept knocking over her food and water and clucking and being a pain. SO! I figured she was trying to tell me she was tired of being in the crate and felt well enough to join her sisters.... Plus, working all day means I wouldn't be able to refill her water every 15 minutes.

When the sun set, I took my Chikkin out to the coop and placed her on the roost next to all the others... She blended right in.

Her eye is fully healed. No more redness, bubbles, or infection. I would say her upper and lower eyelids are more white-ish than anything (reminds me of scar tissue). No one seems to be bothering her, and she's getting along just fine. :)

A HUGE thank you to @casportpony and @Eggcessive for stepping up and helping me with this. I don't know how you keep track of the thousands of BYC members and their millions of chickens, but somehow, you manage to keep us all alive and get us through the worst. I am very grateful. <3

Until next time..........

You're welcome. I'm so happy to hear that she is better, and back out with her flock. I love when we hear good endings like this. Take care.
