Change in Egg Color?

I have a leghorn that went through her second molt so stopped laying eggs for a bit. Right after the new year she started laying again. Her first egg was white but all her other ones have been a peachy tan color (see photo below) similar to an orpington's egg. I know she is the one laying these eggs as I've seen her coming and going out of the nesting box, singing her egg song, and her eggs are extra large compared to the younger laying hens in our flock. They are orpingtons and both lay light brown eggs. Could it be possible that Lena the leghorn has shifted her egg color to match her flock mates? I've read that chicken's eggs get lighter in color as they age not darker, so yes, of course I'm confused. Any ideas or thought? Inside Lena's eggs look & taste great just like they always have.

Lena's eggs are the six extra large eggs on the right and the four eggs on the left are from the orpingtons.

 
I have a chicken that layed white eggs for about 6 months, then they turned to light brown.
I have read that it cannot happen, but apparently it does.
 
Fascinating! I had the same question as one of my girls just laid the lightest brown egg ever...almost a pink hue. It's absolutely beautiful but I was worried about her. Just a few days ago I noticed speckles on 2 of my 3 girls' eggs. I thought that was odd as they are usually fully colored. The shell on this pale egg was quite thin so I'm going to give her some more egg shells for calcium. It looked fine when I broke it open and I just ate it : ) Is this a sign that she's about to molt? This is my first flock and they are approx 10 months old (I live in Florida where the weather is consistently warm).
