I like the name Henrietta too - and how about a Gwendolyn? Elizabeth? Francesca? Florence?
Looks like they are growing up great Jack. It's fearsomely hot here again today, when it cools off on Thursday I will try and get some new pics of our latest babies. The Araucanas have feathers already at only a week old it is just amazing how fast they grow up. The Hamburgs are 5 weeks old now and they are about to go outside into their coop.

Hi, BackyardJack! I hope you and your fuzzy chickie-babies are doing well! I have LOTS of eggs in the incubator at the moment: Black Copper Marans, a fun barnyard mix, Silkies, and assorted bantams. It's become quite a winter hobby of mine: hatching eggs. Lots of friends and family wanting chicks for Spring and letting me incubate eggs for them! =) It keeps me entertained and constantly surrounded by adorable baby chicks.

How are your chicks doing? Is the weather as cold and dark and dreary over there as it has been over here? My six Easter Eggers are still living in the garage! How cold does it get where you are?

My chicks are doing great a month old al ready I can't believe it, I think I've got 2 roosters which is awesome that's means more than half are hens but I can't be sure yet! The weather's not to bad attually we had a bit of snow today and it rarely gets below -2 degrees Celsius! How old are your easter eggers? I'm jealous when you start getting eggs you will have to show me some pictures they're so pretty, I wish I had a garage that would be the best place to keep my chicks because its a bit hard trying to keep the temperature stable the there growing out coop! What colour silkies are they? :)

Hi I have just bought this incubator and I don't think the turning rod is working should I see it going around even without eggs inside . Thank you

Yes, it should still be turning even if there are no eggs inside; however, you might have to look closely. Mine tilts roughly 45 degrees in both directions every two hours or so.
