Hi everybody. Today I am posting about one of my chickens. Sorry for no pics.
first, parrot is named that because she loves to perch.
second, Parrot loves treats.
Every time I walk in the coop this is what parrot does:
- She stares at me like a god (which I am definitely not) and makes a little song so I give her treats. This fails most of the time since I don't have treats to give her.
- She doesn't want me to pick her up because if I do she makes a noise conveying the message, "oh no". I usually put her down before that but she still tries to fly out of my hands
- sometimes when I give them treats she will jump up and knock them down.
- The barred rocks usually get most of them but I try to make treat distribution fair between breeds
- Other times she will jump on the roost and she usually gets the first one. But she drops them too!
- she doesn't care about pecking order either; she just wants treats, like a beagle!
