I am a natural sceptic. And, I find it amusing ... all these free chicks that are often just a way to get rid of roosters.
Meyer has the free chick to benefit the needy. Donate the eggs and/or the meat.
Murray has the "free rare chick"
Ideal has the packing peanut frenzy
They all usually add from 1 chick to 4 or 5% extra chicks (often roosters)

They are not free chicks but rather late hatchers from the brood trays when they are cleaned out each day. At least that is what it states.
They charge 1.99 each and state they could be large fowl or bantam or turkeys. I know any shipment of straight run could end up being all roos but still was thinking about it.
