I have been trying to get my young guinea fowl to free range with my chickens. But the guinea fowl won't go more than a few steps out of the door!!!
I left the door open all day this week in the hope they would follow the chickens out.
Only once did the venture out a few steps.. but the big one.. their boss.. stayed in the coop and shouted at them to come back in. Since then its been 4 days.
They get mad when they are left in there alone and can see the chickens having fun.. But they still won't come out.
Should I force them out... or will that spook them? I don't want them to fly away and not come back.
I have even scatted grain outside the door.. but they just stretch their necks out and eat what they can reach and then stand shouting at the rest!
