Its day 18 for my hatch, and I have had the eggs in an egg carton thus far, because they were shipped... my air cells were not detached, however they are large and saddle shaped. all the chicks seem to have been developing normally, but I am wondering about whether or not I should leave them in the carton for the actual hatch or should I take them out and lay them down like normal... do you get a better hatch rate one way or the other? any advice would be appreciated! thanks in advance!!

I personally would leave them in the carton. I've had good results using this method and I like it that much I hatch all eggs in cartons now even unshipped ones. Others don't like the method it's all personnel preference. The only problem is if you have chick pip the wrong end of the egg it can be hard to see. I personally have never had this happen using cartons though.
Wishing you the very best of luck with your hatch :fl

Thank you so much for your feedback!! I was just concerned that it would be harder for them to hatch in a carton but I think I'll give it a whirl! It's bound to make clean up easier! :)
