The other is to desire less.” So I have began Focusing all of My Hobby resources into sustainable living.Chicken's are a Must and taste so much better than Clones that are polluted with Hormones and Steroid's then pressure injected Post Mortem.So I began assembling My Army of Minion's and originally Had a Rooster with a Topknot and these Hen's which are supposed to be from Eastern Europe.A friend was raising some and I finally figured out that He was keeping them so long because He didn't know how to determine the Sex.If anyone know's what Breed the Hen's are I would sure appreciate knowing.They lay half sized egg's..
 
Look like buff orpingtons to me but half size eggs are either from bantams or pullets. How old are they?

Commercial chickens aren't fed hormones or steroids. Hormones would be cattle.
Chickens are fed antibiotics or arsenic.

These Dog's generally ignore the chicken's but would lay down their lives for them...
 
The Dog's are out while the Chicken's are roaming the property.The new Pen is about a week from completion,I'm attaching it to my shop and it will be completely secure.Once my shop is empty again I'll start on one of those cart's..Like those...I have plenty of room here so I'll be raising duck's and a Hog too but that's after the new year.
 
My neighbor has some pest problem's but I have not even had one.When I first arrived an Owl took the Rooster W the topknot,wound's appeared to be caused by A large bird of prey anyway.I also keep the house window that is inside the cage cracked so I can hear them but Andy will crow @ 0300 sometimes..I will have a pack of dedicated Yard dog's like I have @ my Home north of Houston.Everything takes time though and $$.Veteran's Pension is almost nothing though.I am lucky to have a High Tech background and by next winter I will be running on 80% wind.Everything has corner's that can be cut and I'm going to cut them.If anyone need's any kind of circuit drawn up or dug up just shoot me a pm.I made a windmill out of a Blender and it send's a constant 30VDC which I invert back into AC Voltage,My average windspeed is 30Knt's onna good day and I found three aircraft Prop's in a barn in Louisiana so I have big Ideas.
