This reminds me of what Debby posted:In my Psychology 101 class we had to do a field study of "something", it didn't matter what. It was just about how to write a report.
Since I would sit in McDonalds every evening waiting for class I would watch people order at the counter. Some would rattle off exactly what they wanted and some would stare at the overhead menu like they were seeing it for the first time and it was in Martian. It was about 50/50.
I tend to say things to myself like "you idiot, pay attention to what you're doing."
My mistakes are generally because I'm distracted, not because I'm dumb. My bulb may not be the brightest in the chandelier, but it isn't the dimmest either...hope that one doesn't burn out.
Hopefully the McDonald's patrons had the same problem.
