Like your quotes @NorthFLChick!

You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

My name is Lily and I have a wonderful family and a great and mighty God!

Thanks! I don't know about anyone else, but I'm kind of looking forward to those longer days that are coming. For one thing, maybe these lazy chicken girls I have will feel more like laying eggs, lol. Out of 10 layers, I'm getting 2-4 eggs a day. Could be worse I suppose but I miss those days of 8-10 eggs a day (and so do my neighbors).

Yep. And he said that before fire ants took over.

As far as I remember...sort of round, breakable, good for eating. I think so anyway :/

My Bluebelle is laying nearly daily still. Love that girl! Please excuse the dumbphone quality pic (I didn't have my camera handy), but here's DS giving the bum legged baby a hand keeping it's balance while eating :love

Ha, we have a bunch of slackers this winter! Out of 14 layers in one location we are getting 1-2 eggs a day. 7 of those are pullets and should be cranking out the eggs. At our other location we have three hens and only one is laying consistently, like every other day. I attribute to the shorter days and the fact that we divided the flock and moved some to another location. Lots of changes in the midst of winter. We also don't add supplemental lighting to our coop, let them be natural.

Sumi, I hand raised some orphan mocking birds and one had a sprawled leg. The vet got some fabric tape and hobbled it to his good leg.

I needed to up the calcium and protein. The vet suggested canned Alpo dog food.

By the time they were ready to be set free he was mended...enough to be on his own anyway.

Was this a developmental issue or a trampled in the brooder problem?

I hope chick does well.

and you too.

You and your family are in my thoughts daily.:hugs
