I have some African gray geese that are approximately 7 months old. I dressed one out for thanksgiving and he weighed only 6 lbs. is this a normal weight for that age or is it possible I was sold gray Chinese instead?

Africans at that age should be atleast 12 lbs,so it is highly likely yours are Chinese.
A photo is the only way around it.

They are in fact African/Chinese which can have good enough amount of meat on them but they aren't pure African, this cross is so incredibly common that it is hard to find pure Africans and Chinese but according to Metzers this is a pure breed :S.
