Cross posting also under Ducks for better coverage: "At first googling nothing turned up so I'll research deeper, but starting here. One of my ducks is having some palsy type movements with it's wings. Can you throw a few medical possibilities at me? I'd like to find out if there is anything I can do for it, if there is or will be pain involved, or if it is a communicable disease like Mareks that will eventually result in death. Thanks."

At this point I'll also add that after more observation there are three ducks doing this so it's obviously communicable and I'll eventually discover a cause. I'm hopeful it is a vitamin or mineral deficiency or parasite issue but I fear the worst. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am, obviously, a new duck keeper. From what I'm reading the possibilities are many. They have access to clean water but often drink from the little pool that I rinse and refill every 1-2 days, and they get it muddy again right away. They live with chickens as well and I haven't properly tailored their living conditions to their needs. They do not sleep inside and under cover but instead sleep outside on the grass and in the rain. They are able to go inside, and eat feed under cover, but they do not go inside at night to sleep, nor can I corral them to go inside at night.

What I'm reading right now indicates I need to separate the ducks with tremors, and maybe get a blood test. Would it be okay to put out yogurt for them? Some information indicated that a D3 and calcium deficiency could be a possible cause.
