Here's a better one of her. I guess she does have a bit of a tail

Yes the tail is one thing that looks like Araucana and the cheeks, body shape, but I could be wrong.

Looks like a barred EE pullet to me . Beard and muffs not tufts .I have advanced mine to Ameraucana project status . Breeding true now . It is fairly easy to get slate legs on females as they have 1 barring gene . Males with 2 barring genes have leg color issues from the 2 copies barring .

Hi everyone, I am a new member to BYC, not new to the forum. Been reading it for almost a year. I have been planning my own barred EE project for the last 6 months. At the current moment I only have two BR hens who are laying but only a young cockeral EE, who just started crowing. I know that I need a barred rooster to get the make chicks barred. My question is, is there someone who still has this project going that would be willing to part with some hatching eggs or possibly some chicks, to give me a leg up? I am still going to us my hens and rooster because I am still new to the whole genetics thing on chickens. I read BYC alot and i re-read this forum and a few of the others just so i dont miss any info, plus i have went to my local library and checked out a couple of books on the subject. So i am taking a lot of notes. Also just want to add, i love seeing the pictures of everyone's birds and reading about the progress.

Total surprise today as we got an olive egg from this young lady. Hopefully her sister will do the same. Just felt like bragging a bit.....
