HELP PLEASE! in the middle of an assist hatch & my guide is unavailble now!

How's our little guy been doing? Anymore progress? DId you straighten him out/ LOL get it because he has a crooked neck, straighten him out. hahahaha sometimes I just crack myself up.

Sorry it's been so long...these duckies are a handful now! LOL. Scoodie and Zooma are doing fantastic! Scoodie's neck is absolutely perfect now :D as a matter of fact his whole head is turning solid dark green now. Add that with the fact that he's always had a weird deep voice....i'm thinking BOY! Time will tell for sure though. Zooma does have some green lacing, but not much and is also getting the rouen brown feathering on the face and wing feathers, and an siren loud quack! so I'm thinking GIRL for this one. I ordered some duck diapers & they should be here next week...i'm so excited to let them run around the house with me. I will post update pics when I get them diapered up :D

oh and @Lacrystol ....you crack me up too! LOL

So I got the duckie diapers and they are not good :( I will have to do something else I guess. Here are a couple pictures of Scoodie and Zooma. Do you see the dark green on the head? They are enjoying some play time outside...getting them familiar with their enclosed duck coop. under the watchful eye of our doggie. I have their mom & dad free roaming with our dog ( he loves them! He protects them and they all sleep together too :D...Doggie loves the new babies, but I need to know how to get mom dad used to the babies...any ideas?

It helps to have them near them. My duckling pen was a smaller pen inside the main one, so everyone could talk through the fence to get aquinted

@Kleonaptra , I do have the ducklings in a coop that is fenced off and the mom & dad ducks do come to the fence quack at them when i have them out there. How long does it normally take before they can be cooped together?

For me its about how big they are, not how old they are. I had to keep mine locked up for ages because of Stormy, the eldest, but the smallest! It was more about them being vulnerable to aerial predators and being able to hold their own against the other ducks. I think mine were 4 weeks

This is them their first day out

It gets worst when it's mating time, Then the domineering male will really show aggressiveness. With me, I always combine them all and usually who ever grew up together will stay together. Mine will go off into different groups until they all get to know who's the boss and who's not, then they all come together, keeping there boundries.
