Good on you for not trusting her. Some people think they know it all, but really are not very knowledgeable.
I tend to wether no earlier than eight weeks. I like to let their urinary system develop a bit more. The testosterone from their nards helps with that. People find it reduces instances of urinary blockages (in addition to a diet that has balanced mineral content) in wethers. Much longer after that, they can start getting a little too feisty with females siblings or other does. If I don't wether, I separate at that age.
