I've been looking at hatcheries trying to figure out which one I would like to order from when I get the money to (I'm a teenager). And these two stuck out to me, I've heard a lot of good about Meyer's.

But I've noticed that Ideal has more selection and is cheaper. So what is the quality of they're chickens? I will not be showing them, I just like my birds to look nice.

The same for question for Meyer's.

Please post pictures if you have any.

IMHO, any large hatchery that is successful is going to have pretty good hatchery quality birds.
They wouldn't be in business this long if they didn't.
Most hatcheries use independent breeders to provide their birds so from hatchery to hatchery the jury would report differently on each breed.

I've never ordered from Meyer Hatchery, but I have ordered from Ideal Poultry on several occasions and from as far away as Hawaii, and I have been happy with their birds and service. I've never lost more than a chick or two in shipping, and since they've always put 2 or 3 extra in the boxes, I've always gotten what I paid for.
