goats and chickens

I have a large she'd 12x16! I have a run on one side for our two young pygmy goats. Then I built a fence inside to separate them from the rest of the shed. I plan on getting 5-10 hens in the spring. If I build a run on the other side, and make the inside a coop will the two get along?
 
My goats and chickens aren't house together, but they free range together all day and we have no problems at all, they are always trying to get at each others feed, and sometimes my birds stand, roost on their backs and they don't seem to have a care in the world. The goats just keep browsing and the chickens ride along. My goats were afraid of my birds at first, but now they don't care.
 
Just keep in mind the goats will be relentless trying to get at the chicken feed. If successful they will gorge and bloat.
 
I have pygmy goats. The chickens are CONSTANTLY in their pasture with them. They have all gotten along fine. I have an orpington roo who is a big guy. When we had pygmy babies I was actually worried about them... They were much smaller than the roo... but they have all always gotten along great.

About feed... definitely, definitely make sure goats can't get to chicken feed... but I also have problems with the chickens sneaking some of the goat grain. I only feed the goats sweet grain briefly in the morning... so it's gone quickly... but the chickens will go peck around and try to get what's left.
 
Seems as good a place as any to ask this. I plan on adding a pop door to my run to allow my chickens to free range in the same pasture as my horses and goats (Nubian x Boer). I am wondering how big I need to make the door for my Austrolorps to feel comfortable using it while keeping it small enough to keep the goats on their side. Anyone have any info on dimensions?

My pop door is 9"x12" and can accommodate all these birds with no problem. I would suggest raising the door up around 8" from the floor of your coop to avoid your litter from clogging the threshold of the door. Mine is a guillotine style door and it opens and closes with just heavy whipper sniper line no pulleys involved through a small hole drilled through the top of the door..
