Got home and went in to feed chickens, one Leghorn missing. Went in to grab a flashlight, then found her. We do have two dogs and the cats, but none have ever been interested in the chickens. I also know that my dog would have done much worse if it had been him. She was beginning to molt, and I'm wondering if this looks like her "sisters" may have killed her??

It looks like the body is outside.

The damage is classic raptor.

It also looks like the hen was attacked in the background and that the struggle continued into the

foreground where a loss of tissue or maybe shock finally resulted in her death. All of the forgoing

as well as the fact that the muscle tissue is stripped away like it was pulled off her neck with pliers while

leaving the skeleton intact is another sure sign of a raptor attack.
