Hi everyone. I've been reading so many helpful things on this site and decided to join in. I have 2 Pekin ducks and a lop rabbit sharing a pretty large area. It's fenced in and about 25 X 25. Within that area is a small "pond" for the ducks and 2 hutches that I lock them in at night. (One for the rabbit, one for the ducks).

Beautiful place you have for them and Welcome to BYC..How does the ducks and bunny get along?

That's what I find so interesting. Every now and then they chase each other around but nothing too aggressive. When I close the ducks in their pen at night, the rabbit sits nose to nose with them through the screen door. They have been together since the ducks were babies. Bonnie seems more attentive to Clover and I'm thinking that perhaps that is why she lays her eggs in his hutch every now and then. It goes against everything I've read on this site, including the sharing of food. I do make my own duck food and mix it with their regular food (Layer). A mixture of lentils, peas, corn, oats, eggs (with shells crushed in), and chick peas. They love it and so does the rabbit. The ducks also like to eat the pellets that I feed the rabbit.

Sounds like they have a mutual understanding of each other. Such a nice place too.
