I have never particularly liked the look of frizzles, but she is a beauty! I would guess that somewhere in her genetic makeup there is a blue/green egg layer.
Her dad had blue egg gene I believe. I have had quite a few diff. frizzles. white ones, black ones dark gray ones and this one is almost lavender. she was def a keeper.
The "auntie" to the gray egg lays these green eggs. the gray egg hen is not fertile, so I got these eggs from the neighbor since they were related and they have a gray egg roo I am hoping these green eggs will have gray egg gene.I just put them in my home made incubator that hatched before. the egg to the right had a crack so I had to take it out of incubator. So I have 7 not 8.
2 are green, one light blue and some brown mutts for company.
I have some hens laying what I've called " wet cardboard" colored--they're usually a mix of brown and green parentage. I've not particularly cared for the shade, but maybe I'll market them as grey eggs and see what happens
