How's My Chick Doin'?

All joking aside, it is a physical impossibility to prevent a chicken from harming another chicken if both chickens are willing to fight and they are able to get close to each other. It can't be done other than by chopping off one or both chickens' heads. It should be apparent by now to anyone who reads this forum because of all the posts from traumatized chicken keepers worried about their hens or roosters "bullying" each other.
What? Where you meaning me joking or op? I know chickens killing or fighting each other is common, its what the stew pot is for.

But you shouldn't make them start a fight**(this is for op)**...how would you feel being put into a ring to be intentionally ****** off and fight to the death? Because that's how the cockfight ring goes, only one makes it out, and what if its your rooster? You would have wasted all this time making them pets and getting food and learning how to properly take care of them on here for nothing. Roosters can serve purpose, eat them or keep them as a pet like you would a duck, they can be great as both rather than wasting bets on a ring where they fight to death for entertainment.

I apologize if I seem over reactive about this but cockfighting rings have always confused me and it never seems worth it, its like when people fight their dogs.

You are very kind to keep the chicks alive. =) I'm from Sri Lanka and assuming my culture is a tiny bit like the Philippines, anyone else would not have cared to jump online and find information on how to raise it.

Take information from this forum as suggestions since people in America have much more resources than other countries when it comes to chickens. For example, there is no such thing as "chick starter feed" in Sri Lanka. Only a specific part of the society raises chickens, its mostly poor people. My mom recently told me not tell any of my family members that I have chickens. Well, don't ask me what my response was lol but I understand that she lives in a different part of the world that cares about their heritage and culture. Well, I love my birds so I don't really care about what they think lol

With that said, they're probably both roosters, but think about the beautiful crow you'll hear every morning! Also, they look like leghorns, so leghorn meat is.. you know... mostly bones. =D

If you have land, I would suggest making a fence for them and letting them out.

i realized that, waste of food, time, and effort. I guess I'll just keep them as pets :) thanks though

Hi, my sunflower seed feeds will be running out soon, I'm planning to buy a different feed to them as they will need more nutrients to survive. Any suggestions? My two chickens are 40+ day old and 50+ day old. Preferably pellets? Thanks!

Sorry, I have no idea. Do you have chick feed in your area? Pellets may still be too big. There only 1-2 months old. Def not laying mash

I bought a chicken rope for his foot to put him outside. But he really panicked and his heartbeat was so fast you can't count it, when should I tie up his foot? He is 73 days old.
