Well this morning my 2 day before his 8 month birthday Babe became an official mating gander. I heard him let out the hoot and knew it wasn't Sam yep found Babe with Toots then he got up and strutted around and bragged. He's not been the same since.

I had to sign an affidavit from the ducks and chickens that if I brought any more gosling onto my property there would be a mutiny, so I signed. My geese so are hateful to the rest of the flock I cannot imagine having anymore here. I love them dearly but know my limits with respect to how much property they need, and a half acre isn't very much evidently
What is it with these geese. I love mine but Sting seems to only want to get to the ducks with evil intent in his heart. He charges them at the fence, flies over the fence after them, all the time being egged on by Pauline and Lydia. Wait till you have gosling on the ground. They just have this superior attitude and being so large they can enforce it. Mine will go out of their way to grab a chicken or a duck, I'm serious when I say I will be worried about my ducks once mating season starts and they have a pool those 2 ganders will be in alot of trouble if they go after one. My land is too steep for me to divide it into 2 different areas and don't have the finances to have someone do it professionally. I have to keep my old ducks in the front yard to keep the geese from harassing them. My drake can barely walk and they love to go after him. It's a good thing I love them 4 bullies.
