Did anyone else get chicken-themed Christmas presents?

That Ancient Greek rooster figurine is a cool gift. I do enjoy seeing chicken themed works when I go to history or art museums.

This year we got our traditional chicken calender gift. I also got a chicken tapestry for my birthday this year.

That would be awesome, but no, a maybe 10 x 14 inch panel that could be the face of a tapestry style pillow for instance. It is still really cool and doesn't take up as much room on the wall as a Flemish tapestry.

Nice!

I did a post on my blog a few years back about chicken-themed items we saw at the Armory Show in NYC. I didn't see any tapestries, but there was a painting by an Irish artist named Walter Osborne called "Feeding the Chickens". If I ever win the lottery, I'm buying it!
