My White Eggs Turned Brown/Tan....???

Okay so I am totally new at this. I have my eggs in a box and homemade "incubator". We have been rotating and doing everything that we should for a week now. The eggs were white but now they turned brown, one more brown than the other. What does this mean?? Are they bad? Thrown them out? Or is this what they are supposed to do?
 
Ok, let's start with the obvious questions first. What breed / breeds chickens are the eggs from? Are the eggs from your own chickens, or bought eggs? What is the source? How old were the eggs from being layed until they were set in the incubator?
 
I am not sure the breed. They are our car shop chickens in the country but I was bored and thought I would try and hatch one so i picked two out of 4 eggs that were there. I put them in my homemade incubator the same day I know she laid an egg. I picked the whitest one (im assuming the one she laid that day) and one more that was more dirty. It was within a day or two once she laid the dirtier egg. The one that was more dirty is the brownest one now.
 
Here is the thing........egg color is determined by the genetics of the hen. Most egg shells are white as the shell begins to form. The hen adds the last layer (the color layer if they will be other than white eggs) just before the egg exits her body.

I have never heard of an egg turning brown after it was laid as a white egg. I would continue on with the incubation process just to see where it goes. Your temperature in the incubator should be a constant 99.5 to 100 degrees F. You haven't been warm enough to "toast" them have you? lol
 
It's been 98-100 the whole time. We have used a thermometer gun (used on cars) to monitor the temp.... like I said I was bored on Christmas vacation lol. I went back to work and my friend rotated them like the website said and he sends me a pic of brownish eggs today lol. I didn't know if that was good or bad.
 
Let me know if the pics don't show up. If not I can email you if you don't mind. I used flash he didn't. She that's why towel looks brighter in the first pic. But the eggs have def changed. He said the dirtier egg was the darkest egg. He is a mechanic so he has a temp gun so we used that to see the temp and the egg temp was 98-100 all the time.

They look kinda pink in the pic. Is the other side still white? It almost looks like veins running through the egg. Are you turning them 3 times a day?
 
I haven't seen them in person because I don't stay where the chickens are with my friend. I will see them Friday. They looked like tan brown but ill look as soon as I get there on Friday.
