So happy you joined! How old are you RIRs? If they are only 2 weeks old then they won't be laying in awhile.

I bought them at what we call trade day here. The man I got them from said they wouldn't lay for about 2 weeks because of being hauled from where he lives

He is right, the stress from hauling and a new home will cause hens to stop laying. As the days get longer, they should start laying again for you. If you can post a picture of your hens, we may be able to make a guesstimate as to when they may start laying again.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Hens get stressed when they have been moved to a new home and can stop laying for up to a month. The stress shuts off the egg laying. So try to keep the stress down in the coop, don't pick them up much for a while, go sit with them and let them know all is well, and bring some goodies with you. This will help them bond to you and relax them a bit. It takes time for them to relax in their new digs.

I hope you start to get those eggs soon!!
