Welcome! Learning about chickens is a lot quicker and more fun when you surround yourself in chicken lovers. Remember that going to shows, swaps, and poultry events is a great way to do this, I'm a strong believer in hands-on learning. Again, welcome to BYC.
 
I'm a Jersey transplant, but lived inner city and apartments all my life. Three years ago I bought a half acre, finally got used to the space and somehow got the itch for some chickens! So at 36 years old here I go and got some chicks. I'm in Lake County by the fairgrounds.
