selling chickens - Page 3

In my area what I do is raise chicks to 7weeks old and then sell them for $10 per bird
I buy from a hatchery and have them vac.for mareks and cocci. And feed them high quality feed and I advertise at the feed store and craigs list . In my area feed stores only sell day olds in the spring and I in the same time have 7week old ready so when people buy chicks they have a choice of day olds or 7week olds and I carry them all year around and my feed store is fine with that because I buy feed there and people well buy feed for there new birds at the same store

On a similar vein, Is it more profitable/sellable to sell hatching eggs or day old unsexed chicks?

Welcome to Back Yard Chickens ! :D

Hello,

My name is Steven. I have been raising Chickens and other birds for about 2 years now. I will say it is really fun and addictive. I really enjoy incubating eggs and watching them grow into beautiful birds.

I am currently looking to buy or trade for some Ancona Chickens if you have some for sale please let me know.
