Thank you Lady of M. The bielefelder thread just ignored my post Would the males of any of your suggestions be just black/white barred? As chicks the males were a beautiful charcoal grey. Almost like the Columbian wyandottes, but with a straight comb. I also got a very dark penciled or laced bantam easter egger.

Thank you for the pics. My two twin pullets still have that same color pattern but they are definitely some type of Mediterranean breed. Possibly leghorn? Your girl is very cute and looks like she will turn out to be a big girl
I have been raising Bielefelders for two years and that is not a Bielefelder chick. This is a 5 week old bielefelder pullet. Hope this helps.
