Chicks that don't thrive...what do you do? Fairly Urgent...

Sorry for your loss, I know it's frustrating to work so hard to save a little life & not be successful. Having raised all sorts of birds & animals there are some little ones who just are not supposed to make it. I know with cockatiels some would get to be about 4 days old & just fade away. There may be some deformity in their systems that we can't see. I never could directly kill them, so would let nature take it's course. Didn't know about the starter fluid, thanks guys for the new info. I learned something new today! It would be handy for wild birds & animals that you are brought that are in pain, scared & not going to make it. After awhile you can tell pretty accurately by holding an animal if it's not going to live. Your Daughter is probably pretty upset, having animals does mean sorrow & pain but the joy & benefits are so much more! J
