Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Market day today. Need some stuff so it's off to mix with a few of my own species for a bit.

Not really. I have one roll of 1.8 m high weldmesh fencing 30m long. This will give me an 8m x 4m run. That's a bit over 344 square feet. leaving the remaining 6m to be cut roughly in 4 lengthwise for the skirt. That is just about acceptable for me as sufficient space for 2 chickens and maybe a couple of chicks. Can you build a perimeter fence around your run?

Asils are not prolific egg layers but the hens do like to go broody; lots apparently.
I would like them to be able to breed.

I can get enough second hand posts from someone I know here to have a post every 2m.
I have a site in mind. It already has some shrubs and a couple of small trees on it. At this point all it costs me is work and a few bags of premixed concrete for the corner posts.
I've got all the tools, line wire etc.
I would need to buy a nylon netting (fishing net works well) to cover the top.
I would need one more sheet of 18mm plywood in order to make a coop, but the coop is basically like the ones I use now but a bit smaller. The ply costs about $70.
The site I have in mind is away from the usual foraging areas of the tribes.
That's me busted.
I've got a few days to think on it.
Well it sounds like you have it sussed! Nothing but to get it built. What a great opportunity to do something you've always wanted to! I hope you will take pictures of the coop and run, and especially of the birds. I looked them up when you mentioned them since I've never heard of themNot really. Shad, thanks for the coffee. If you end up getting the Aseels, hope you'll share some pictures with us.
