My Grand Ma told us to eat some saltines if we were starving while waiting for dinner!
Your grandma knew what she was talking about. I had a handful of pretzels just to keep me from passing out.
Evening Cafe.
Thank you IM, Ron and GAC for the commiseration.
I managed to get a little done. Got 1/2 the predator apron on, weeded the front beds at Mom's house, went grocery shopping and picked up prescriptions for DH and made arrangements for the Groundhog to be delivered by the neighbor "kid". He's 30 but I just can't help calling him that. He's such a great kid. If I had one, I'd want him to just like him.
I think I'll get my piers in and the J-bolts set by Sunday afternoon. Once I'm past that hurdle, it's pretty easy from there. I can't wait to let the little monsters out of their brooder. We did a test run yesterday and it was positively hilarious!
The littles were flying all over the place and the bigs were wondering what the hell was happening in the coop. One of the littles actually pecked my SS in the face and the SS backed off. The HBIC and the lowest ranking hen gave the chicks the biggest run for their money. But the chicks are just too fast and they outnumber the bigs.
The RIR is HBIC and in the picture she is headed straight for the little cuckoo Marans. She didn't get her.
