You have a lot to share with this world and you will find your path, one way or another, I am quite sure.

It's so hard when you want something so bad but it's not 100% and you try to tell yourself that, and you know that it's not certain and it probably won't work but it might, but no it can't possibly..but still inside that little 'maybe' flame burns even as you try to talk yourself out if it, just in case things don't turn out like you had planned.

Children come into our lives in different ways - some are planned for, some are a surprise and some are chosen. But all are wanted. I know you're disappointed because things didn't turn out how you planned. However, that's the key. Life usually never goes according to plan and sometimes the best gifts of all are waiting out there in the future... nothing you'd have ever imagined. :)

I've been thinking about you today and was hoping you could find some sunshine in your day. Routine helps sometimes, but I'm here if you want to talk or virtually punch something like a kangaroo. ;)

p.s. I don't mean physically assult a kangaroo, I meant punch something like a kangaroo would. I picture boxing gloves!

Hmmmm...kinda quiet today. I'm off to work later, but only half of a shift thankfully. We received the revised plans for our house yesterday, they are a near perfect as they can be. Of course now comes the hard part, the cost estimate. I am nervous/terrified.

Krista, I hope there is a little sunshine in your day.:)

This was the first full shopping day since last Christmas for me. Because I got so sick, and then I got afraid to associate with people in fear of getting sick again. I was making old Mother Hubbard look good.

We loaded the car to the gills with staples and It has taken me all day to unpack and fill the pantry back up. Also it is a day off for my son and we did lunch.

I am going to miss that kid. His college has offered a calculus bridge for him to get ahead start over the summer. I think it is a fabulous idea... but I had plans! waaaa.

I am pleased he has these opportunities.

Jan, they grow up entirely too fast. The plus is that sometimes they generate grand children that you can indulge and have fun with - for far less responsibility. My grandchildren will have vivid memories of me.

I got in trouble with my Yuppy SIL for teaching my grandson how to pee outdoors.

My grandfather used to tell me that childhood is the most important part of ones life and he wanted me to try harder to enjoy it. My mom thought it was a total waste of time and that childhood was something that no one should have to go through.

I like hanging with grampa better.

And I think, because I knew my parents were not going to be any better at grandkids than they were at kids, I was everything. Parent, grandparent Auntie.. all of it.
We had fun. We did it all. many times. I had the best childhood with that kid. My grandfather would have been proud.I finally enjoyed my childhood.

I might be too old for grandkids by the time he gets around to them, but if they don't mind the racing flames on the walker.. I'll shuffle along with them happily.

How are you doing today Krista?
Don't let the glums get you. I remember the taste of it well. I know it can be hard.

After 11 years, I gave up. I went back for another degree and spent all the money we saved for our kids...and then- proof that God has a sense of humor- I got pregnant.

Clean up your diet as best as you can. Avoid processed foods and sugars, I stayed away from wheat like it was poison. I was hoping to improve my thought process, so I cleaned up my diet, That is what did it for me.

I am still way over here rooting for you!

'Morning all.

I have been taking everyone's wonderful advice and trying to keep busy. I managed to secure some extra hours on our farm - preg testing the heifers. As it turns out, 75% of them got pregnant first time around. The irony is not lost on me - proof positive, once again, that God really does have a sense of humour!

I am trying not to feel glum and am instead trying to redirect my feelings towards anger - an emotion I am much more comfortable with! (I may have lost my one and only egg, but dang it I will not lose my sense of humour!) I am eating and sleeping well, and generally just taking a little time to be by myself and gear up for (hopefully) another round. I will hear from the clinic on Monday as to how we will proceed from here - if at all.

I must say, this gave me a good giggle this morning! I remember we had a family dinner once at a popular local restaurant. They had a playground out the back to keep the kids entertained, which was in full view of all the diners inside. My nephew chose the middle of dessert time to pee off the top of the slide, onto the ground below. It splashed back onto the dining room windows as we ate. They can make you so proud......

And this is how Grandparents should be! My Grandma could not speak English, but you had better believe when she waved at us we came running! She was always sneaking us treats and trying to feed us up! It is the Polish way after all - if you're not eating you must be sick!

This gives me hope that it can be done. Interesting about the wheat too. Money? What money?! Every cent I have is going into this baby-making caper! Honestly, good thing that hubby and I don't have expensive tastes. We have no cash behind us, we don't own a home....hmmm, come to think of it, can we afford a kid?! Just kidding, we would manage of course. There is much more to life than being able to have the latest and greatest of everything. Plus, I think if you work to earn something you have a greater appreciation for it anyway.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Our son got our time. I know people with plenty of money who never enjoyed their kids.
I'd rather have it this way.
It all works out.
It has taken me over 50 years to learn how to live one day at a time and enjoy the now.
(I still freak out on occasion.)
I am glad you are doing okay.

Good morning all

A quiet day planned for me today. I have to clean the chook house, and am also going to do some baking.

It is a lovely day outside, and I think we are expecting around 80F, so I might even take myself out for a quiet lunch while hubby is at work.

What is everyone else up to today?

There is a lot to be said for having a simple life. I have never been one to want to "Keep up with the Neighbours" I look at my sister, who granted owns her own (massive) home, but the repayments on it are just crippling. Me, if I ever scrape together enough money for a home deposit, I intend to buy a lovely old weatherboard house out on a couple of acres, and do it up myself.
As long as there is room for lots of chickens, I'll be happy!
