He's excellent with the flock and it's only me he behaves this way with. It doesn't hurt me and to be perfectly honest, I'll be damned if some 6 pound bird is going to win this war.
I get that you'd have killed him by now as well as half the members of BYC but he's mine, I like him and I'm going to keep working with him. Period.

Good morning, Cafe.
The sun is out and it's a bit chilly at 38F. But it's supposed to get to 60F today.
I'm hoping to get a few more hours in on dad's house. I finally got one of the heavily contoured pieces of drywall up next to the field stone chimney. I have to do the other side.
I also got all but the last three sheets of sub-floor down in the great room. It's really coming together.

I might need to see a shrink (remotely, of course).

The bloom is off the rose with that wonderful idea Mom had to live with my now divorced nephew. She would pay for practically all his living expenses and he would take care of her and the house. Uh huh. He moved his girlfriend up from SC. She's a sweet thing but a little further off than he is. She receives SSDI as she couldn't possibly work. The issue is, my mother is now supporting HER too. It never occurred to my nephew that this was not okay. And her parents give her a $200 a month allowance out of her SSDI but have failed to give the rest of her money to my mother to pay for HER living expenses. It makes me just boil right over.

My oldest sister is a bit off kilter too. Not her fault as her first serious boyfriend, now soon to be ex-husband, strangled her when she was a senior in high school causing her to pass out. No one learned about this until decades after the fact but it explains the drastic change in her personality. We think she suffered from some minor brain damage due to lack of oxygen.

She has talked about moving up here from TX. To live with my mom... and her two leaches. Oh, my head!!

So here is where I think I need to see a shrink. I suggested that Mom buy a true single level living house and move to reduce her expenses. She pays $1100 a month for rent plus all utilities and supporting two other adults where she is. So I found a house just down the hill from me. It needs a bit of work. New windows, gutters, carpeting, paint and a pantry cabinet installed in the kitchen. Possibly a new furnace and water heater but I need to get in to inspect it.

Guess who will be doing all that work if she buys it???
