Do you ever take a day off @DobieLover ? I know there's time pressure with your dad's house, but still - can't you just take Christmas day? You make me feel like a proper sloth 😳
I can't stop. The house has to get done and with all these appointments every Monday for DH, I have no choice.
I kinda blew up at my ungrateful selfish mother... I asked her if DH could come down a few days ago to stay with her while I worked on dad's (HER) house and she said she was going to be busy cooking and would rather not! :th
Seriously? All DH does is quietly sit on the couch and watch TV. What exactly is the problem? I was so mad at her I didn't talk to her for 2 days then finally told her what I thought of that.
All YEAR I've been working on HER houses and she'll say things like "and exactly WHEN will the house be sold?!" after I've given her an excited update on all the work that's been done. My father was a freaking SAINT for being married to her for so long.

Nothing is so hard as man's ingratitude. In your case @DobieLover , you may want to exchange 'man's' for 'mother's'. :hugs

Had to google that @Myrth is this a good recipe for it ?
Blueberry Clafoutis

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • â…” cup white sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Generously butter a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

Pour blueberries into prepared baking dish.

Blend milk, sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt in a blender until batter is smooth. Pour batter over blueberries and gently shake to remove any air bubbles.

Bake in the preheated oven until puffed and center is set, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool until clafoutis deflates and is just warm.
