BYC Café

Morning! Meg, we have snow showers with less than half an inch predicted.
Thanks for the coffee and have a wonderful day you all!
If the temperature stays up, I think we'll be alright! It was raining when I got up and a blizzard on the way to work. It was a great sunny weekend, though. Mother nature needs to get back on her meds...

Good morning, Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, DL!

Papa goose is still watching over the chickies for me. I went out after dark to lock them up and had forgotten to turn the light in the coop on. The chicks were loudly chirping outside of the pop door, unable to navigate the dark coop. Papa was just hanging out with them. When I turned the light on the chicks filed into the old coop and the gander headed for bed in the new coop. Animals are so funny.

Wishing everyone a great day. Hopefully some of you are getting some sunshine!

Finally...
Ramp and old awning removed,
Now I *have* to replace them.
Well, that tarp may suffice for quite a while.
But really hope to have it done within 2 weeks, by the time the chicks are let out there.

Are you completely redoing the ramp?
Kinda, will add a 'porch' and run ramp 90° from previous position.
Awning will run something like this:

Brain spinning with finding metal and fitting supports in such a tight space.
It's got to hold up to snow load as I can't get back there to clear it off.
It's a 3 season run. :D

Very cool. That'll be way better, huh? Provide a lot more cover!
