BYC Café

To anyone in my area that may see this, my apologies. I'm sure the late rain showers WHILE THE SUN WAS STILL SHINING were all my fault. They started as soon as I finished hanging the third load of wash on the line. :hmm

Tomorrow will be clear and sunny all day so I'm sure they'll be nice a dry when I get home from work.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I've got to try to get a picture of Astrid and the kids in the late afternoon. They like to perch on the purple chair just outside the coop. One or two chicks will be on Astrid, the others on the arms and/or back of the chair. The problem is, every time I try to go into the pen to get the picture they see me coming and all fly off the chair and come running. Astrid has them thinking I'm their dealer and they're all hooked on raisins.

I finished building the feeding station enclosure and it has a coat of paint. Two hours until recoating. Then I call it done! Another thing for the clutteration of the run.

I was planning to take down the separating fence between the littles' and the adults' area Thursday morning. I'm pushing that back to Saturday. I'll be gone part of Friday, and I think I should be around in case things go south with my low hen, Lark, and the not-so-little chicks. They'll be 12 weeks old on Friday.

Friday night I plan to take everything out of the run. (Except for the sand filled dustbath, which is heavy.) Saturday morning, I'll take down the fence, add new stuff, and rearrange old stuff before I open the doors.

Then cross my fingers and stick around close enough to hear anything that sounds bad.
