Worst of the wind appears to be over...Whew!
Gusts of 40mph was highest my nearby(1.5 miles away) weather station recorded.
That was early this morning, when the power and ISP blipped.

Well I WAS going to mention the wind here is currently 25 MPH gusting to 40 MPH and rising. Supposed to be gusting to 50 MPH at 9 PM then taper some gusting 33 MPH at 5 AM. Oddly no gust at 6 AM but back to 30 MPH between 7 AM and 2 PM.

But your 85 MPH puts my wind to shame.

Should also have some sun tomorrow Haven't seen it for 3 or 4 days.

I have 3 window boxes on the front of the house. DH and I foraged 6 different types of evergreens and I also found red berries to add. I don't know what shrub they came off of but it had lots of thorns I can tell you that.
I made the bows from the same wire ribbon I used on the tree.

Went out shopping for Christmas provisions with my daughter this evening. It's the first time she's been out since she caught Covid. Lovely to see some colour in her cheeks; not so lovely watching her make up for not shopping for ten days.

Yes, that is good news, Shad! Maybe she is shopping for you...
Our wind has died down and the temps are above the single digits of this morning.
Wrestling went well, no real stress there. Next weekend, I hope, will be entertaining.
I too am hoping for the best for all of the people and critters in the path of those storms/ tornadoes! What a tragedy!

I am not a fan at all of the flashing "carnival-like" lights. It makes the whole season feel commercial. Twinkling is nice.
Don't get me started on the blow up Christmas décor. I once saw a giant Rudolf in front of WM. It had partially deflated and it's front half had dropped to the ground with his fanny in the air. THAT was funny!

I got up not having the slightest idea what time it was! I refuse to keep my phone in the bedroom at night and the power had gone out twice overnight so the clock kept resetting. That really threw me for a loop. I kept thinking, "how can I have gone to bed a 11 and the clock says I've been in bed for 10 hours(!!!) and it's not light out yet?".

Looking forward to 3 sunny days in the 40's,
might finally get that coop bedding dumped now that the tractor is steerable.
