BYC Café

Rough few days around here. My pa has been sick for a little more than a week. He couldn't breathe well yesterday and finally went to the ER this morning with a 67% oxygen saturation. Of course everyone is thinking covid, but he was negative. He has COPD and parainfluenza. Breaks my heart.
:hugs

Thanks, Ron. How old was your grandma? How long did she live with it? His dad died of emphysema and he's a heavy smoker, so while it isn't exactly surprise, the diagnosis is always hard to handle. He'll be 60 next month.
She was in her early 60s and back then they called it emphysema. she continued smoking a year into the diagnosis but finally stopped. It was several years for her with frequent stays in the hospital. The last hospital visit was when she had the aneurism.

It is a hard thing for sure!

Literally everyone has been sick. The crud is making it's rounds. When I started to feel bad on Wednesday, I just assumed it had finally caught up to me. Fever was 101.4° and the most horrific pain in my back I couldn't hardly wrap my head around it. I spent about 19 hours in bed and when I got up the next morning I was plumb fine. I went to the doctor today for worry of a kidney infection and she asked if I'd passed a kidney stone. Don't know if I did or not, so we'll see what she comes up with. I didn't care for her :hmm

Good afternoon, cafe. Brought a fresh pot. I find myself wanting something a little stronger, however.

I'm sorry to hear about Dale, Sour. There is no easy loss to an animal-loving heart.
Sorry to hear that your pa isn't doing well, Meg. Hope he recovers quickly.

I do have really, really good news to pass on.

Our "daughter" who has lymphoma...

Does not have lymphoma any more!

I was laughing and crying when she told me. Freaked my dog out. Thanks, everyone, for your wishes and prayers that she recover.
She is in Remission? Hopefully she will stay that way!
