BYC Café

We just got back from a tour of the more expensive memory care place, the Hearth. We really liked it.
I had asked the owner of the Homesteads (the place we visited about 1.5 weeks ago) if I could contact her via email so she could send me the application and any other information I would need for him to move there. She said that I could email her from their website so I did last Thursday early morning. I never heard back so I left a message the next day, last Friday, noontime on the main phone message system. I still haven't heard back. I tried calling the main phone twice today. No answer. The message gives you the direct numbers to all 4 sites so I called the one at the foot of the hill twice. No answer.
I must say, that totally pisses me off. What would their communication be like if he lived there?
So now I'm very much leaning towards the Hearth. It's 5.3 miles from home, they have daily activities, every patient is checked hourly, they assist with bathing (2x per week), they clean their rooms and do their laundry weekly, give them their meds and help with all ADLs. They have a completely enclosed courtyard he can spend time in.
He can afford it. He'll just go through his money faster but can tap that program if he comes close to running out and between that and his SSI he'll be fine.
