Central Kansas
My husband and I are in the process of building our chicken coop. Our new lil additions to the family will be here in a cpl of weeks from the hatchery. We are brooding them inside until about 6wks of age. However, we live in Central Kansas where the summers are scorchers (upwards of 110 heat index) and the winters can be pretty cold (wind chills down to -30 sometimes colder) esp. with the wind that blows seemingly almost non-stop. Any advice please?????

No need to insulate. Just make sure there is plenty of ventilation at the top of the coop (just below roofline is good)
